When employees put in for paid time off, the system checks their benefit time balances to verify that the requested hours are available, and then debits those hours automatically from the appropriate accrual category.

Potential disputes can be resolved easily because an Audit Log maintains all entries that are posted to the employee's accrual record.

Accommodates Your Leave Policies

Workforce Accruals software accommodates a wide variety of methods for accruing leave time, as well as the many complex accruals rules found in organizations today. For example, you can grant a lump sum of time at the beginning of a defined period, or allow portions of benefit time to be earned as the employee works. Similarly, if your policy permits negative balances, the software allows overdrawn amounts. You can also specify accrual waiting periods (i.e. the amount of time which must pass before an employee can use vacation or personal time).

Supervisors and payroll administrators can authorize transactions with the assurance that the time is actually available because Workforce Accruals software validates balances even as on-line edits are being made to an employee's record. Thus, if an employee only has six hours of accrued time available, the system won't let you approve a request for eight hours of vacation time, unless your company's policy permits negative balances.

Workforce Accruals software keeps leave balances current, and the program automatically changes employee's rate of accrual on a specified date. For example, if an employee becomes entitled to additional vacation after each year of employment, the system will increase the accrual rate on the employee's anniversary date. Likewise, the system will also restrict the number of leave hours that may be carried over from one year to the next.
