A new tool for your professional workforce Companies have long tracked hourly labor using time and attendance systems. Workforce Web takes this concept a giant step further by allowing you to record and manage labor data for both your hourly and salaried employees. Workforce Web lets employees across your company record their time, attendance and project information via the Web from any location, from any desktop, at any time of the day or night. In conjunction with Workforce Timekeeper, Workforce Web can be used as a stand-alone time-and-attendance solution for your organization. Or it can be part of the total Workforce Central Suite, the comprehensive frontline labor management solution from Kronos. Either way, Workforce Web is easy to use and requires minimum effort from employees, while giving your company a powerful tool for gathering and managing employee data. How Workforce Web works With Workforce Web, employees use a standard browser to enter their time and other job-related data such as department, job, project, or other category. This automated timesheet can be filled out at any time, so it meets with the flexibility needs of your employees. After the data is entered into Workforce Web, it is sent to a server running Workforce Timekeeper which processes the electronic timesheets, applying your company pay rules and policies It also attributes the hours to the appropriate pay codes, project account, or cost center. This information is then immediately available to department managers for authorization, and to assess labor or project costs. Real-time management reports are available for analyzing time and costs by department, project, or function. You can track costs as they accumulate, plan budgets and staff requirements, and better manage your workforce. Empower your employees Workforce Web empowers your employees, as well as your managers. It supports "self-service" by allowing employees to review their own hours, schedules, activities, and accrued time from the desktop. Or if you prefer, you can set up a central information workstation where employees enter a log-in and password to examine their own records. Whichever you choose, you give employees instant access to information in a secure environment, and without burdening your Human Resources staff. In addition, employees can enter their leave requests, which can be routed automatically to management and HR for approval. Features and Benefits:
Adjusts to your needs It's easy to customize Workforce Web so it captures the data your company needs without any complex coding. You can choose to have employees enter data in one of three ways:
Data fields include multiple reporting levels, configurable time increments (quarter hour or minutes), list boxes of pay categories, benefit time, and more. You can also add the company logo and a line of text that links to a company web site. Fields that aren't' applicable to your company can be suppressed. Column headings can be changed easily to match the terminology you use. Security Workforce Web fits with your company's existing web security systems. It supports Secure Socket Layer (SSL) communication between the web client and server. Each employee must provide a unique password before submitting a timecard or retrieving a report and the administrator can set the system to force users to re-supply a password after a period of inactivity.
