The document imaging group provides our customers with a choice of two document imaging systems, DocuWare and Laserfiche. These document imaging systems are ideally suited to the needs of businesses because they are affordable for single user systems and small networks but they are scalable to handle thousands of users and millions of documents. Each system includes modules that allow automatic indexing, automatic importing of images for remote locations, computer output from laser disk (COLD), barcode recognition, and full text retrieval. Both systems utilize the Microsoft SQL database for document indexing.

Our imaging team has installed systems in the following applications:

• Organizations for tracking medical records, EOB’s (Evaluation of Benefits from insurance companies) and lab orders.
• Health insurance companies for tracking medical claim forms, correspondence documents and legal documents.
• Banks for tracking signature cards, certificates of deposit, accounts payable and check processing.
• Trucking companies for tracking bills of lading, accounts payable and state and federal regulations.

J&H Office Equipment is also a Value Added Reseller (VAR) for the Cardiff Company. Cardiff specializes in image capture, forms processing, and data processing. The Cardiff TELEform product is supported world wide for processing hand written data with data validation, data verification, barcode recognition and form recognition. TELEform enables large enterprises and government agencies to quickly extract, capture, verify, process and index large quantities of information using production-level scanners, fax servers and the Internet.
